Find Me on Reedsy

People often ask me how I got involved in freelancing and how they can get started, too. I have great luck with Reedsy.com, a website that connects independent authors with all the services they need to get published. I do editing, of course, but you can also find layout artists, cover artists, and other people who can help you out with the rest of the self-publishing process.

Reedsy also lets me connect with previous clients and continue to use their messaging service even after the project is closed, which is a great help when people want to do a follow-up project. I have plenty of returning clients who have me do a final proofread on a book I’ve developmentally edited, for example.

I've always had great interactions with the Reedsy staff when I've needed to. I only ever had one problem in which a client wasn’t updating the timeline of the project on his end, so that the deadline was coming up and I didn’t have the material to finish. Reedsy was able to check the chat to see that I’d requested the change, and the material, and helped me keep my account in good standing.

Because of my special niche in the TTRPG and LitRPG worlds, I get plenty of hits from people looking for editors in those specific genres. I highly recommend checking them out if you want to try out editing!
